It’s been a while since I last went for a facial appointment. Fortunately, back on the second week of April, I received a pampering facial session at IDS Aesthetics.
Once at IDS, I was ushered in for a brief consultation with Dr Michelle Wong whom analysed my skin condition again. The proposed facial treatment for me was the Hydro Therapeutics Treatment, which targets clogged pores and blackheads, as well as hydrating and brightening up my skin. It is also one of their more popular treatments for general maintenance.
The one-hour treatment comprises a series of steps including cleansing, extraction and mask. The therapist was gentle yet thorough, especially during the extraction process. It was then that she brought to my attention the few milia on my cheek area which I could seek further treatment for in the future.
- Double cleansing
- MDX (microdermabrasion) / HydroD (water dermabrasion including use of multi minerals solution)
- Ultrasonic cleansing
- Ultrasonic penetration of vitamin C
- Mask – whitening, soothing or anti-acne
Some of the immediate results I could see after the treatment were the less visible blackheads on my nose area and the overall fresher, supple complexion.
Facial treatment is definitely not a one-off affair. What comes after is as important too. And with that in mind, I will be keeping up my skincare routine!
